Dan was a man of few words but he believed in the ones he spoke. He believed in doing things the right way in everything he did. He was a perfectionist. It didn't matter what he was doing, he wanted it perfect or as close as he could make it. Dan had many hobbies. He was an avid walker, 4-5 miles a day Monday through Sunday . Collecting guns, shooting, woodworking, family tech guru, self proclaimed lawn engineer(his lawn looked like a PGA course) and only he could do it the right way. Dan also loved fishing and was awarded The Elite Fisherman of the year for FDFB in 1977. He loved Boston Terriers and believed they were the smartest dogs ever.

Through the years Dan and Tish loved and cared for 6. Butchie, Sam, Susie, Sally, Buster and Little Richard. His last Boston was his grand dog Sebastian Jack.  His favorite season was football, "LSU Football". He kept up with recruiting and really enjoyed Dandy Don's LSU Sporting News. Saturdays were for football and at game time you could find Tish and Dan at home in their favorite spots watching the Tigers.

Dan had a sense of humor that many did not see, but his circle did. He loved to joke and laugh. He would get so tickled and just put his face in his hands and laugh so much. His circle wasn't big but he loved everyone in it.

Dan was many things to his family. A husband, a father, a grandfather, a brother, a brother in law, and a father in law. And we all loved him the way he was to each one of us. The love, the laughs and all the great times that were shared will never be forgotten.

February 29th, 2024 Dan was told he had cancer . March 21 he had his pet scan and was told it was stage 4 Mucinous Adenocarcinoma of the lungs. He immediately received his first chemo treatment on March 22. On Tuesday , April 2, Dan told Tish; I know I promised I would do everything to stay here with you but the pain is unbearable and he asked her to call Hospice. With a broken heart she did as he wanted. He also told everyone there that he wanted nothing given to him to prolong his time. His family

was there by his side for the next 3 days making sure he knew how loved he was.

On Friday morning, April 5, 2024 Dan was healed from all his pain. We didn't want to let him go but we knew he was no longer suffering and at peace.  The family would like to Thank everyone for all the prayers, messages, food and friendship through these last few months. All the Love and Support was very appreciated.
